My Alarm Clock

Hey gals!

Just thought I would share a little bit more about my morning alarm clock- Woody Woodpecker. Bless his heart- I've just been feeling a bit sorry for him (although my sympathy is quickly disappearing) and here is why-

Chad & I got to talking this week (I was sharing my bird 'post' with him) and he had heard that the pecking on the brick of my house is a mating sign. Well, if this is true- let me just say one more time- bless his heart! This poor bird has been pecking on the same brick for three springs now-- you would think by now the pour soul would have found a mate! But obviously he is having no luck! Not only does his intelligence rate up there with mine but the poor thing is having girl troubles too!

Please pray that my alarm clock gets a date soon! (Let me tell you that waking up to the sound of a machine gun going off (this is the best way I know to describe Woody's brick-pecking)- is no way to wake up!) And talk about waking up in a bad mood! Well, we just won't even go there today!

I've also heard that the pecking is a sign of marking their territory. And, if this is true, man is he making sure nobody comes around- cause he has just about drove me out of my house- I've almost decided it can be his territory! ha!

Well girls, pray. Pray for Woody to get a date that will last or pray he gets over his territory issues soon! And you might want to pray for my kids too! Cause bless their hearts- mommy hasn't been to 'happy' of the mornings (if you know what I mean!).

Love to all,
Lori
